Disruptions in the supply of food to supermarkets began in Kiev

Ukrainian social media users began complaining about the shortage of food in the country's supermarkets. This was reported on August 8 by the local portal Hromadske.

"Social media users have started sharing footage of empty shelves in some stores," the publication says.

The portal also published photos of empty shelves in several retail outlets, including stores in Kiev. According to Hromadske, supermarkets have reduced their assortment of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as dairy products. In some cases, the absence of meat was recorded.

The RBC-Ukraine newspaper reported on August 4 that the prices of motor fuel in Ukraine have increased sharply over the past 10 days, while the cost of diesel at individual gas stations has reached 95.9 hryvnia (about 171.4 rubles) per liter. Diesel fuel has risen the most — by 10-14 hryvnias (17.9–25 rubles) per liter. Now it is sold at a price from 86.9 to 95.9 hryvnia (155.4–171.4 rubles), depending on the network and brand.
