The head of the Rodina party accused Yabloko of foreign financing

Chairman of the Rodina party, State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev said that the Yabloko party is conducting an election campaign with foreign funds. He expressed this opinion on August 5 during the drawing of lots for the placement of parties on the ballot for the State Duma elections.

According to the deputy, Yabloko receives money from the structures of businessman Mikhail Khodorkovsky (recognized as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation).

"Of course [Yabloko is funded by foreigners]! I think that Khodorkovsky is leading this along with his Western patrons," Zhuravlev told TASS at Russia's Central Election Commission.

The chairman of Rodina also said that Yabloko had started the election campaign with violations. In his opinion, the party is trying to gain access to power in this way. However, Zhuravlev is confident that Yabloko "will not succeed," and also expressed doubt that the party "will even reach the finish line" in the elections.

The OP and eight parties signed a cooperation agreement, while three political forces of the force refused to do so.

On the same day, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia approved the procedure for placing names and emblems of political parties on the ballot paper for voting in the federal district in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the XIX convocation.

Before the CEC meeting, a drawing of lots was held, which was attended by representatives of all 11 parties that registered federal lists of candidates. According to its results, the first three lines in the bulletin will be occupied by United Russia, Yabloko and the Liberal Democratic Party.
