Tax notifications on Gosuslugi will start arriving automatically on August 1.

Starting from August 1, Russia will change the procedure for receiving tax notifications through the unified portal "Gosuslugi" (EPSU), in which individuals will no longer need to send a special notification to the tax authorities in advance to receive documents through the EPSU. This is stated on the official website of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of the Russian Federation.

"The changes will come into force on August 1, <...> concerning the procedure for receiving tax notifications for individuals to pay property taxes and personal income tax through the unified portal of Gosuslug," the text says.

It is noted that tax notifications will be automatically sent through the personal account on Gosuslugi to all registered individuals who are registered in the unified identification and authentication system.

The exception will be cases when the taxpayer has independently issued a refusal to receive documents through Gosuslugi. In this case, notifications will be sent by mail or through the taxpayer's personal account.

The Federal Tax Service also reminded that citizens will still be able to receive a paper tax notice by contacting any tax authority serving individuals or an authorized MFC. The document must be submitted no later than five working days.

At the plenary session on July 8, the State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a government bill that provides for the possibility of delivering receipts for housing and communal services to a personal account on the Gosuslugi portal. According to the initiative, payment documents will be sent electronically only to those users who are registered in the system and have not expressed their refusal to receive receipts in this format.
