- The rules for the transportation of gasoline across the Crimean Bridge will change from August 4.
New rules for the transportation of gasoline and diesel fuel will come into force on the Crimean Bridge on August 4. Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea, announced this on July 31.
"Now fuel can only be transported in special cans made of steel, aluminum or chemically resistant antistatic plastic with markings," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
At the same time, plastic water bottles, household chemicals containers, as well as homemade cans will be prohibited. According to Kryuchkov, such containers can deform in hot weather, leak fuel vapors and create a fire hazard.
The volume of one canister should not exceed 40 liters, while it is allowed to fill it by no more than 95%.
Since July 30, Russia has introduced a new temporary ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, marine fuel and gas oil. The restrictions will be in effect from August 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027. At the same time, starting from September 1, restrictions will not apply to diesel and marine fuel, as well as to gas oils exported by direct producers.
