In the United States, a teenager received 100 years in prison for a failed assassination attempt.

In the US state of Indiana, 15-year-old Joe Larry was sentenced to 100 years in prison for murdering a woman during an unsuccessful gang attack. This was reported on July 31 by ABC News channel.

According to the investigation, on February 2, 2025, members of the Mickey Cobra Nation gang planned to kill a witness in another case in the parking lot of a club in the city of Anderson. During the shooting, 26-year-old Dayla Swain, who was not related to the group, was fatally wounded. Two more women were injured.

Larry, who was 14 years old at the time of the crime, was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy and illegal possession of weapons after a six-day trial. The court sentenced the teenager to 50 years for murder and another 50 years for committing a crime as part of a gang. In total, he faced up to 176 years in prison.

Other participants in the attack received 125 and 90 years in prison. Larry will be able to apply for a retrial after 20 years.
