- In Tyumen, the growth of the water level in the Ture River slowed down amid flooding
In Tyumen, a slowdown in the growth of the water level in the Ture River was recorded. Over the past day, the indicator has increased by 2 cm. This was announced on July 31 by the mayor Maxim Afanasyev.
"The rise in the water level in the Tura River in Tyumen continues to slow down," the message in the Maks messenger says.
It is noted that the water level at the hydropost in Tyumen was 891 cm. The danger level is exceeded by 41 cm.
Earlier, a state of emergency was introduced in Tyumen and the Tyumen region due to flooding. The authorities cite heavy rainfall as the reason for the rise in water.
The situation also remains under control in other districts of the region. At the Bogandinskoye hydroelectric station in the Tyumen Municipal District, the water level in the Pyshma River reached 564 cm, increasing by 25 cm per day. 98 cm remains before the dangerous phenomenon mark.
The head of the Tyumen Region, Olga Zimina, announced on July 27 that flood control works were continuing in the settlements. Specialists and residents are engaged in the transportation of sand and soil, as well as the preparation of bags to strengthen protective structures. Work is underway in the districts of Kaskary, Turaevo, Borkov, Kalinka and Vodnik farms, as well as in other settlements of the district. In the area of the Sapozhok farming Co., an overflow of water was recorded across the road along the Old Irbitsky tract.
On July 26, experts predicted an increase in the water level in the Tura River in Tyumen to the figures of 2016, when it amounted to 868 cm. The governor said that he had held a meeting of the emergency commission, where, using the experience of the flood in Ishim in 2024, it was decided to prepare for the most unfavorable scenario, since rain flooding is difficult to predict.
