The RF CC proposed to introduce a teacher's capital for teachers with at least 25 years of experience

In Russia, it is necessary to introduce the so—called teacher's capital, a measure of support for teachers who have worked at the school for at least 25 years. Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, made such an initiative on July 31.

"I believe that it is possible to introduce teacher capital. That is, roughly speaking, it can be provided with money or meters of housing. Separately, provide two to four meters of housing for each year of work at the school. Or with money that can then be paid after 25 years," Grib shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that if a graduate goes to school immediately after university, then by the age of 50 he will be able to receive such a payment, which will become an important social guarantee. Hryb stressed that a teacher is "the foundation of any state," and the introduction of teaching capital will increase the prestige of the profession and the attractiveness for young professionals.

There is an acute shortage of specialists in the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on additional measures to support teachers. The document, published on July 20, establishes the special status of teachers and guarantees for education workers. It was noted that teachers who have started work for the first time will be guaranteed mentoring for a period of at least one year.

On June 28, Putin supported the United Russia initiative to recognize the special status of teachers in Russia. He stressed that securing this status should not be just formal, as it means additional support and new opportunities for those who have devoted themselves to one of the most important professions — the education of new generations.
