The State Duma denied the change in the timing of the transmission of water meter readings

In Russia, the rules for transmitting readings of individual water meters have not changed, and information about the limitation of the data submission period from the 20th to the 25th of the month is not true. This was announced on July 28 by Vladimir Koshelev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"I want to reassure everyone who has read this news: no legislative changes have been adopted that would change the procedure for data transmission," Koshelev told RIA Novosti.

The deputy noted that the transmission of meter readings continues to be carried out in the same mode. According to him, the recommendation to provide data before the 25th of each month has been in force in the rules for the provision of public services for many years and is not a new requirement.

Koshelev added that changes in the housing and communal services sector can only take effect from March 1 or September 1, so the introduction of new rules from August 1 is impossible. He also clarified that in the absence of indications for three months, the calculation is based on the average monthly consumption, and then according to the standard.
