Wildberries granted sellers credit holidays after warehouse attacks

Wildberries sellers, whose goods and activities were affected by attacks on logistics centers, received a loan deferral. This was announced on July 24 by the marketplace's press service.

The support measure applies to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses using the services of WB Bank and the micro-credit company WB Finance.

"WB Bank and MKK WB Finance have extended credit holidays to sellers, representatives of small and medium—sized businesses, whose inventory and operations were affected by attacks on logistics centers. This measure complements the existing assistance to sellers, including the first supporting payments," the company said in a Telegram channel.

According to the terms of the program, payments on the principal debt and interest accrual are suspended for three months. Entrepreneurs will be able to make the next payment on loans and credits at the end of October.

Wildberries clarified that credit holidays are provided automatically — sellers do not need to submit applications or provide additional documents. At the same time, entrepreneurs who wish to continue payments according to the standard schedule will be able to cancel the delay through their personal account or by contacting the support service.

The company also noted that the issue of providing similar support measures for representatives of large businesses will be considered on an individual basis.

Since the end of May, the number of attacks by Ukrainian UAVs on residential buildings, schools, and energy facilities has increased 1.5 times.

On July 23, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacked two Wildberries logistics centers in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region - in Shushary and Utkina Zavody. The facilities have stopped working. An evacuation was announced at the company's warehouse in Simferopol at night. The governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, said that three people were injured in the region during the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition, the collapse of structures of one of the warehouses of the Severnaya poultry farm in the village of Sinyavino, Kirovsky district, was recorded. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack on Wildberries centers in the Leningrad region.

After the attacks on July 22, Wildberries CEO Tatiana Kim promised that small entrepreneurs whose goods were damaged in the attack on the warehouse in Elektrostal would receive their first payments. The measure should cover about 88 thousand people. Kim called the safety of people the company's priority, adding that the attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces showed the coherence of the operational services.
