Zelensky extended martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization in the country for another 90 days. This was announced on July 23 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"I decree: <...> to extend the period of martial law in Ukraine from <...> July 23, 2026 for a period of 90 days," the text of the decree says.

It is noted that both documents were returned to parliament with the signature of the head of state. Prior to that, on July 14, the deputies supported the extension of martial law and mobilization.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 24, 2022. The day after its introduction, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
