The WSJ pointed to Israel's attempts to convince the United States to resume large-scale strikes in Iran.

The Israeli authorities are trying to convince the US administration to resume conducting full-scale strikes on the territory of Iran in order to weaken the Islamic Republic. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported this on July 20, citing its own sources.

"As Israel's military goals increasingly diverge from those of the United States, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to convince the President [of the United States Donald] Trump's plan is to resume full—scale attacks on Iran in order to further slow down Tehran's weapons programs and efforts to rebuild the country," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, Israeli intelligence agencies provided Washington with information about Iran's alleged movement of centrifuges for uranium enrichment into deep underground tunnels. According to intelligence reports, these facilities are located under Mount Kirk near the city of Natanz at a depth of up to 140 m.

The Israeli government expects that these facts will influence the White House's strategy in the region. Jerusalem expects that the information received will prompt the American leadership to launch a new, more powerful wave of armed attacks on Iranian military and nuclear facilities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on June 26 that the IDF would remain in a "security zone" in southern Lebanon until Hezbollah was disarmed. He described the negotiations between Israel and Lebanon that took place in the United States as an important achievement for the country.
