The Central Bank of the Russian Federation announced the postponement of scheduled repairs at Siberian refineries

The Bank of Russia has recorded a change in the repair schedules of Siberian oil refineries, which have shifted work in order to saturate the market with fuel. This is stated in the Central Bank's July report on the current state of the regional economy.

"Scheduled repairs of Siberian refineries have been postponed to a later period, autumn 2026, in order to ensure a sufficient supply of petroleum products on the Russian market," the document says, published on the regulator's website.

The main reason for the schedule change is the strategic security of Siberian enterprises, which, due to their geographical location, remain inaccessible to raids by Ukrainian drones, which provoked unscheduled repairs at factories in the European part of the country.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on July 10 that fuel shortages at car refueling stations were caused by attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on refineries. According to him, the Russian government is making every effort to ensure additional gasoline supplies to the regions.
