Singer MakSim announced the death of her father after a long battle with cancer.

The father of the Russian singer Maksim (real name — Maria Abrosimova) died after a long battle with cancer. The artist announced this on July 19 in her Telegram channel.

"Now my brother and I don't have a dad anymore," she wrote.

According to Maksim, her father was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Doctors assumed that he had no more than a year to live, but the man lived for another 14 years after the diagnosis.

The actress noted that, despite the long struggle, the disease turned out to be stronger. The singer posted photos and videos from the funeral ceremony. MakSim stated that she would always preserve the memory of her father.
