On July 19, Andrey Tyurin, narcologist and head of the department of the Alkomed clinic, told how to identify domestic drunkenness at a stage that allows you to return to sobriety without rehabilitation and coding.

"The earliest and most accurate marker of the development of domestic alcoholism is an increase in tolerance. If a person used to get drunk from 100 grams of vodka or a glass of wine, now he needs twice as much. Also, a person's gag reflex disappears, because the body stops defending itself from the poison," he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The doctor explained that alcoholism is indicated by the need to invent reasons for drinking alcohol, such as meetings with friends, sports matches or outdoor recreation. If there is no real reason, a dependent person can create it artificially.

The narcologist called the loss of quantitative control one of the key signs of the disease. Tyurin clarified that at the initial stage, a person can plan to consume a minimum dose of alcohol, but in the process of taking it he does not find the strength to stop in time.

In addition, the specialist included memory lapses, lies, changes in character and the appearance of the smell of alcohol on weekdays in the list of symptoms of addiction. The expert also pointed out the formation of withdrawal symptoms, which manifest themselves in the desire to get drunk immediately after waking up.
