Additional capacity limits have been introduced in Sevastopol to balance the energy system.

Sevastopol has introduced additional restrictions on power consumption to balance the energy system of the Crimean Peninsula. This was announced on July 17 by the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.

"The system operator has introduced additional capacity restrictions in order to balance the energy system of the entire peninsula. The commands come from the system dispatcher in real time, so there are simply no accurate schedules right now," Razvozhaev wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, electricity is currently being supplied as a priority to life support facilities: hospitals and pumping stations.

"Our task is to stabilize the system by the evening and enter the "two in six" mode (two hours with light, six hours without it). This is an indicative mode. The time may shift depending on how much load the network can withstand and what commands will be received from the dispatchers," the governor emphasized.

Razvozhaev noted that Sevastopolenergo's specialists distribute the available capacity limits between all districts of the city.

"Please be patient. As soon as it becomes possible to provide light more often, we will do it," the mayor assured.

On June 26, the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced that the authorities of the region and Sevastopol had decided to introduce a regional emergency regime. He explained that this regime is introduced primarily to resolve economic issues.

The Russian Red Cross, in turn, announced that it would increase supplies of humanitarian aid to the region in emergency situations. For example, 600 humanitarian kits have been prepared in Sevastopol. In addition, a water purification plant is being purchased for the city, which will provide residents with drinking water in case of water supply disruptions.
