Mexican actress Elsa Aguirre has died at the age of 95.

Elsa Irma Aguirre Juarez was born on September 25, 1930 in Chihuahua. Her film career began in 1946 after winning a beauty contest. During her time in the industry, she starred in more than 40 films, collaborating with the country's leading directors and actors. Aguirre became one of the main stars of the heyday of Mexican cinema, which fell in the middle of the 20th century.

Among the most famous paintings with her participation are "Beware of Love" (Cuidado con el amor), "Red Rain" (Lluvia roja) and "The Woman I Loved" (La mujer que yo amé). In the last years of her life, the actress lived in Cuernavaca. She led a secluded lifestyle, rarely attended public events and practically did not give interviews.
