A fire broke out in the Chernobyl exclusion zone in the Kiev region four days after the elimination of a major fire. This was announced on July 14 by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"The elimination of the forest floor fire continues in the exclusion zone," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

On May 8, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported a large-scale fire in the forest of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. In the evening of the same day, the Rospotrebnadzor of the Russian Federation announced that it would strengthen radiation control due to this fire.
