On July 14, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia announced the prevention of a large-scale series of sabotage and terrorist acts using drones at military infrastructure facilities, enterprises of the military-industrial complex and against military personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to the FSB, Albert Vasiliev, a citizen of Ukraine and the United States, using the pseudonym Kyivstoner (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation), was involved in the organization of the terrorist attack and the leadership of accomplices under the patronage of the SBU. His life and career

Albert Viktorovich Vasiliev was born on December 31, 1991 in Kiev. He lived in the Raduzhny massif until the age of 19. In his youth, he faced problems with the law — he faced up to eight years in prison on three counts. In 2010, to avoid imprisonment, he went to live with his mother in the United States, where he graduated from college in Santa Monica and began filming humorous sketches.

In 2016, he returned to Kiev and became a member of the Mushrooms project, where he created sketches for music videos and worked on live performances. In February 2017, he left the team, explaining the deterioration of the creative atmosphere.

After leaving the band, he founded the project "Unknown" and released several albums, including "Hypaholic", "Banger", "Athletics". Collaborated with Basta, Alyona Alyona, Juicy J, OG Buda and others. In 2021, he starred in the film "Major Thunder: The Plague Doctor".

At the end of 2021, his son Luca was born, and in May 2022 he got married in Los Angeles. In early March 2022, he left Ukraine with his family on a US citizen's passport. He lived in Los Angeles, then moved to Bratislava (Slovakia). His decision to leave the country and his statements (including that he misses Moscow) caused a mixed reaction in Ukraine.

Preparation of a terrorist attack with the use of UAVs in the Moscow region

The FSB of Russia reported on the prevention of a terrorist attack planned by the Security Service of Ukraine against a strategic enterprise in the Moscow region using UAVs smuggled. The cargo with weapons of destruction followed the route Bratislava — Siedlce — Brest — Moscow region. 35 FPV drones with Canadian-made control systems and foreign-made explosive warheads were found in a batch of Spanish ceramic tiles.

The explosive cargo was placed in a rented hangar next to the facility. The acceptance of the goods was handled by a recruited Russian citizen. Two Moldovan citizens were involved in preparing the premises for the launch of the UAV. The performer was a Russian citizen who had previously served a sentence for serious crimes, signed a contract with the Wagner Private Military Company in 2022, was amnestied after participating in his military operation and became a citizen of the Russian Federation in 2023. He assembled and activated the drones, after which he left the crime scene, awaiting evacuation to Ukraine.

After the drones were launched, all means of terror were destroyed by the FSB special forces. The perpetrator is detained and confesses. The accomplice offered armed resistance and was eliminated.

Kyivstoner's involvement in the organization

Kyivstoner was involved in the organization of the terrorist attack and the leadership of accomplices under the patronage of the SBU. According to the FSB, he coordinated the evacuation of the perpetrator of the foiled strike. The agency published an audio recording of a conversation between a Kievstoner and an unknown interlocutor, in which the evacuation of the detained performer was discussed. On the recording, the Kyivstoner says that the group is waiting for the departure signal, discussing the delay and expressing dissatisfaction with what is happening.

In addition, according to the FSB, Kyivstoner transferred money to an accomplice in the preparation of a terrorist attack. An accomplice in the FSB video said that Vasiliev asked him to purchase food and tools for a fee, leave them at an agreed place in the Moscow region, and then pick up an unknown young man and transport him to the city. The accomplice also said that the Kyivstoner had transferred money to his card, including the amount to be transferred to the contractor. According to the accomplice, Vasiliev also sells drugs through a network of intermediaries through closed Internet channels.

After the news appeared about his involvement in the thwarted terrorist attack, the Kyivstoner briefly commented on the situation on social networks, expressing bewilderment. The FSB Investigative Department has opened a criminal case under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Terrorist act").
