US President Donald Trump has resumed the naval blockade of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, the waterway will continue to function. He announced this on July 13 on his page on the Truth Social network.

"The Strait of Hormuz is open and will remain open, with or without Iran. We are reintroducing the Iranian blockade, so named because it only prevents Iranian vessels or its clients from entering or leaving the strait," Trump wrote.

According to the head of the White House, the restrictions imposed relate exclusively to the Iranian side and its partners. Trump explained that all other states will be able to use the strait as usual, freely and unhindered.

On July 12, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces announced that the United States Army had begun launching new strikes on Iranian territory. It was noted that the order to strike was given by the commander-in-chief of the US Armed Forces, Donald Trump.
