Russians are one of the most patriotic and stoic people in the world and will not allow the country to capitulate. This opinion was expressed on July 11 by the special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Russian-American humanitarian relations, actor Steven Seagal in an interview with the Swiss magazine Die Weltwoche.

"In my humble opinion, Russians are one of the most patriotic and stoic people on Earth. They feel that they are now facing an existential threat, and if they don't finish the job, Russia simply won't exist. In my estimation, the probability of Russia's surrender is zero," he said.

Segal stressed that Russian citizens are aware of the scale of the current risks. According to him, people will not give up until the goal of ending NATO expansion is achieved.

The actor added that the North Atlantic Alliance is encircling Russia, seeking to "strangle it to death." Segal is confident that understanding this fact will consolidate society in an effort to bring the matter to an end.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 12 that solidarity and patriotism have always been the main values for Russians and helped them defeat the country's enemies. He also noted that sincere feelings of responsibility for the Fatherland are close to every Russian, and for the participants of the special operation it is a reliable spiritual support, as well as the support of the heroes by the whole society.
