Sobchak announced the restoration of access to hacked accounts

On July 8, journalist Ksenia Sobchak announced the restoration of access to the Telegram channels of the Cautiously Media holding three hours after the hack.

According to her, the attackers were able to gain control of the resources through email.

"That is, at first, the scammers gained access to it and stole Telegram," Sobchak wrote on the Telegram channel.

The owner of the holding called all publications that appeared on the Sobchak and Bloody Lady channels during the hacking period fakes. The editorial board of the Careful News project reported that the "temporary hacking" began at about 14:00 Moscow time.

At 14:09 Moscow time, the attackers posted several screenshots of personal correspondence and two videos of the journalist singing and dancing on the Sobchak channel. The editorial staff stressed that they had nothing to do with these materials.

On May 26, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that fraudsters began distributing a banking Trojan and a malicious software downloader under the guise of free VPN services. After installation, such a program gets access to SMS messages, push notifications, and confidential banking application data.
