Moscow uses the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) platform to communicate its position to Western countries. This was announced on July 7 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE Dmitry Polyansky.

"This is the only channel, if not for direct dialogue, then at least for directly communicating our position to Westerners on many subjects," the diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, unlike the UN, which addresses a wide range of issues, the OSCE regularly discusses the situation around Ukraine, which allows it to promptly present the Russian point of view.

Polyansky said on July 3 that Europe had become a hostage of the pro-Ukrainian course at the OSCE site. He stressed that it is almost impossible to raise an issue in the organization that will not touch on the topic of Ukraine to one degree or another. Prior to that, on June 30, he did not rule out that Europe could enter into conflict with Russia before 2030. He clarified that now the threshold of potential provocations from the West has begun to decrease and there are more of them than before.
