Starting from August 1, pensions will be increased in Russia for several categories of citizens, including working pensioners, recipients of funded pensions, Russians who have reached the age of 80, as well as former pilots and miners. This was announced on July 5 by Elena Kiselyova, an analyst at the Institute for Integrated Strategic Studies.

"A working pensioner can earn no more than three points per year, and the cost of one point in 2026 is 156.76 rubles. As a result, the maximum pension increase will be 470.28 rubles with a salary of at least 68,975 rubles per month before income tax," she said in an interview with the Prime agency.

According to Kiselyova, working pensioners will receive automatic recalculation of pensions with a maximum increase of up to 470 rubles. Funded pensions will be indexed by 17.3%, increasing the average payment to 1,876 rubles. Russians who celebrated their 80th birthday in July will double the fixed part of their pension to 19,169 rubles and receive an additional payment for care in the amount of 1,413 rubles. In addition, special surcharges will be recalculated for former pilots and miners, which will average 30,000 and 6,000 rubles, respectively. You will not need to apply to the Social Fund to receive increased payments.

Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, reported on July 3 that residents of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug receive the highest pension allowance, which is associated with the highest living wage in the region. The expert noted that in the Magadan region the surcharge was 12,840 rubles, in the Nenets Autonomous District — 11,212 rubles, and in Chukotka — 27,011 rubles. The highest living wage for a pensioner was recorded in the Chukotka Autonomous District — 42,511 rubles, in the Kamchatka Territory — 28,666 rubles, in the Magadan Region — 28,340 rubles, in the Nenets Autonomous District — 26,712 rubles.
