One person was killed when lightning struck a beach in Florida.

One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a lightning strike on a beach in Florida (USA). Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno reported the incident on July 4.

According to him, the incident was recorded in the area of the 6500 block on Estero Boulevard. Four people were hit.

"Four people were injured, at least three were transported to local hospitals for medical care," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Later it became known that one of the victims had died. Information about the health status of the other three people and their identities has not been received at the moment. Law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene.

Six people, including five children, were injured by lightning in the Czech Republic on July 1. The man accompanying the group lost consciousness after the discharge. The doctor who arrived at the scene found traces of electricity on his skin. The victim was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Ceske Budejovice in the Southern Czech Republic.
