The West lacks the political, economic, and military resources necessary to support the Kiev regime, while Russia is showing success at the front. This was stated on July 4 by American political scientist Garland Nixon in an interview with Izvestia.

In his opinion, NATO countries are taking new steps against the backdrop of Ukraine's deteriorating situation on the battlefield, but this does not change the overall dynamics of the conflict. The expert noted that the Russian troops, in his assessment, are demonstrating significant successes, and the further development of the situation indicates a weakening of the positions of the Ukrainian side.

"And at some point, I believe, both militarily and politically, Ukraine will become unstable and virtually unaffordable for the West. The West does not have enough political power, economic, or military base to save the Kiev regime," Nixon said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on July 3 that Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic had completely come under the control of Russian troops. According to Peskov, Konstantinovka is an important settlement that the Ukrainian forces have turned into a large fortified area. He noted that, despite this, the city was completely liberated thanks to the heroism of the Russian fighters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the same day that the capture of Konstantinovka by the Russian Armed Forces was an important stage in the destruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kramatorsk-Slavyansk fortified area.
