The Emir of Qatar presented the Russian Ambassador with one of the highest state awards

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, presented the Russian Ambassador to Doha, Dmitry Gadadkin, with the order for strengthening bilateral cooperation on the occasion of the completion of the ambassador's work. This was announced on July 1 by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Qatar.

"During the farewell meeting, the Emir highly appreciated the contribution of the Russian ambassador to strengthening bilateral cooperation and presented the Order of Al-Wajba," the ministry said in a Telegram message.

Gadadkin has represented the interests of the Russian Federation in Qatar since 2021. The diplomat recently announced that he plans to complete his embassy work. In addition to the Emir of Qatar, he also recently met with the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, who expressed gratitude to Guadkin for his years of work.

The President noted Doha's efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and discussed with the Emir assistance to the Syrian people.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow, Jalali Kazem, said on June 4 that Iran is interested in establishing a visa-free regime with Russia. In addition, according to him, there is currently "the best situation in the history of relations" between the two countries in the field of banking cooperation.
