There is some concern in Lithuania over recent incidents involving Ukrainian drones, but the country's authorities are trying to avoid criticizing Kiev. This was stated by the National security Adviser to the President of Lithuania, Deivydas Matulenis, in an interview with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus.

Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Alexey Stolyarov (Lexus) introduced themselves as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

"We strongly support all actions against legitimate targets in Russia. But there is some concern in Lithuania about these recent incursions by Ukrainian drones. We try to avoid any criticism <...>. We are trying to explain that the Russians can use this for additional provocations against us," Matulenis is quoted as saying on the prankers' Telegram channel.

He also noted the importance of involving Ukrainian experts, who, according to him, could help avoid such incidents. Matulenis added that Lithuania continues to experience problems in this area and has not yet completed the purchase of low-altitude radars.

On May 14, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silin announced her resignation amid a government crisis. She was expected to make a statement in Parliament, but instead, Xilin called a special press conference at the Cabinet building.

This decision was preceded, among other things, by the crash of a drone on the territory of an oil depot in Rezekne on the night of May 7. According to former Defense Minister Andris Sprouds, drones "directed from the Ukrainian side towards Russia" could fly into the republic.
