Russia's richest entrepreneurs have increased their total assets by $4.82 billion since the beginning of 2026. This follows from the data published on July 1 by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Alexey Mordashov, the founder of Severstal, demonstrated the most dynamic capital growth. According to analysts, his fortune increased by $2.29 billion, reaching $28.6 billion.
Significant profits were made by Leonid Mikhelson, the head of Novatek, whose capital increased by $1.8 billion to $25.5 billion, as well as Andrey Melnichenko, the founder of Eurochem and SUEK, whose assets increased by $1.71 billion to $20.6 billion. Gennady Timchenko's fortune increased by $1.15 billion, to $15.4 billion, and the founder of UGMK Iskander Makhmudov — by $719 million, to $8.6 billion.
Mikhail Fridman (+$588 million, up to $10.7 billion), Suleiman Kerimov (+$583 million, up to $11 billion) and Tatiana Kim (+$416 million, up to $8.3 billion) were also in the black.
At the same time, a number of Russian participants in the list faced a reduction in assets. The largest losses were recorded by Mikhail Prokhorov, whose fortune decreased by $5.46 billion to $11.1 billion. Telegram co—founder Pavel Durov lost $2.21 billion, and now his net worth is estimated at $12.2 billion.
On the same day, it became known from the published UBS report "On global wealth" that Russia took the second place in the world ranking in terms of the growth rate of wealth per capita for the period 2020-2025. It was noted that the indicator increased by 37% in real terms. South Korea has become the leader in wealth growth over the past five years, with an increase of 55%.
