The Spanish Visa Application Center has increased the time for reviewing applications from Russians to 45 days.

The Spanish Visa Application Center in Moscow, BLS International, has extended the processing time for visa applications for Russians to 45 days. This was announced on the company's website on June 29.

"The period of consideration of visa applications can be up to 45 days from the date of receipt of documents at the consulate," the message says.

The company cited an increase in the number of visa applications as the reason for the delays. The BLS also called for planning the submission of documents taking into account the extended deadline.

Russian citizens often prefer the countries of South-East Asia.

Earlier in the day, Hungary temporarily suspended the acceptance of visa applications at the visa application centers in Kazan, Samara and Ufa. As explained in the company, the decision was made on the instructions of the Hungarian Consulate General in Kazan and comes into force on June 29.

On June 25, the Italian Visa Application Center notified Russian citizens about an increase in the processing time for documents. Due to the changes, applicants were advised to submit their documents no later than three months before the planned trip.
