The murderers of the Omsk student came to the city specifically to commit a crime

Seven people accused of murdering a student at an Omsk university came to Omsk from other regions specifically to commit a crime. This was announced on June 29 by Tatyana Bulikhova, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the Omsk region.

According to her, the defendants include natives of Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg. Before the crime, they rented an apartment in Omsk and began preparing for the crime.

"They came to Omsk with a specific goal — to commit murder," Bulikhova's statement is quoted by TASS.

According to the prosecutor's office, the defendants met with the student on the Internet on the basis of common interests. According to Bulikhova, all seven of them did not work or study anywhere.

The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, announced on the same day that the student had disappeared on June 21. Five days later, his body with signs of violent death was found in an abandoned area.

According to the investigation, the suspects lured the young man to a vacant lot, tied him up, stabbed him several times, and then tried to hide the body. To prepare the crime, they developed a plan in advance, purchased duct tape, bags and gloves, and also took measures to create an alibi.
