US President Donald Trump said on June 26 that he could become "the greatest communist in history," but under such a political regime, his country would "collapse" in a few years.

"I would be the greatest communist in history. I would give you free rent, free houses, free food, everything for free. Unfortunately, in two or three years, the country in which this is happening will collapse. That's always the case, and then you'll start living in poverty. There will be no food, there will be no housing, there will be no army, there will be nothing," he wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.

According to the American leader, communist ideas easily find support, because "communists make promises that they obviously cannot fulfill." Trump also called communism the most serious threat to the United States in the country's history. At the same time, he criticized the Democratic Party for not adequately resisting communist ideology.

"[The Democrats] are afraid of losing the election, they are afraid of conflict [with the Communists]. They are not smart or strong enough to fight this plague. If they had fought them the way they fight the Republicans or me, they would have won, but they don't have the courage to do it. These are not Social Democrats, they are inveterate godless communists. This is the most serious threat to our country in the 250 years of its existence," the US president stressed.

In addition, Trump noted that communist regimes are against religion. For this, he described the Communists as terrorists and assured that he would continue to fight for Christianity.
