The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the building of the electrical networks workshop of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in the industrial zone of Energodar, near the Raduga substation. This was reported on June 26 in the Telegram channel of the station.

"For the second day in a row, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been attacking the facilities of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, part of Rosatom. As a result of another attack, the building of the electrical grid workshop located in the industrial zone of Energodar, in the area of the Raduga substation, was damaged, the report says.

It is specified that the damage received is not critical. There were no casualties as a result of the incident. Experts have already begun to assess the consequences of the shelling in order to carry out the necessary restoration work.

Any deliberate attacks on the plant's facilities, even outside its main industrial site, pose additional potential threats to the safe operation of Europe's largest nuclear facility, the NPPU said.

On June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on the nuclear power plant. The territory of the facility was attacked by heavy drones. The events forced the management of the station to temporarily reduce the number of its employees, as the shift shift took place under fire.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, commented on the incident and its consequences in a conversation with Izvestia on June 19. He pointed to the West's indifference to Kiev's actions.
