The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on the elaboration of humanitarian aid to Venezuela

The Russian side is currently exploring the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance to Venezuela after the earthquake. This was announced on June 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Currently, the possibilities of providing humanitarian assistance to our Venezuelan friends are being explored," she said at a briefing.

She also noted that according to the Russian Embassy in Caracas, there were no casualties or damage on the territory of the diplomatic mission. In addition, Russian diplomats are in constant contact with the authorities and emergency services of the republic.

The earthquake in Venezuela occurred on June 24. The epicenter was located 60 km northwest of the city of Valencia, as well as 28 km northeast of San Felipe. The magnitude of the natural disaster was estimated at 7.5. The earthquake was the strongest in the country since 1900.

According to the latest data, at least 164 people were killed and more than 900 injured as a result of the earthquake. The state of La Guaira became the most affected by the earthquake. Rodriguez called the situation in the region a real disaster and declared the state a disaster zone.
