FIFA has allowed the Russian youth national team under 15 to compete at the FIFA World Cup

Russian youth national teams under 15 have been allowed to participate in the first FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan from October 22 to 31. This was announced on June 25 on the website of the International Football Federation (FIFA).

"The FIFA Council has approved the holding of a tournament for boys and girls under the age of 15, the bureau of the council has decided to hold the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA U—15 Festival in 2026 in Azerbaijan," the publication says.

In addition, a separate World Championship among girls under 15 will be held in 2027. Starting in 2028, the organization plans to hold two independent tournaments annually — for the youth and women's national teams of this age category.

The International Sailing Federation has allowed Russian juniors to compete under the national flag and anthem.
