Zelensky will not go to the conference in Gdansk in order to avoid scandals
The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, will not take part in the conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which will be held on June 25-26 in Gdansk, in order to avoid scandals. This was announced on June 24 by the representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgy Tikhy.
"The decision that was made that this year the Ukrainian delegation at this conference will be headed by the Prime Minister is absolutely justified," he said on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon on the YouTube channel.
According to Tikhy, this will avoid politicization of the event and possible scandals. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that such a format of participation would allow focusing on issues of rebuilding the country and working with international partners.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko announced on June 23 that she would represent the country at a conference on Ukraine in Gdansk, Poland, instead of Zelensky. She added that the Ukrainian delegation at the conference will include business representatives, heads of state-owned companies, community representatives from all over the country, as well as officials and parliamentarians.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki on June 19 stripped Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle due to the glorification of the UPA (the Ukrainian insurgent Army, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). Later, the Ukrainian president returned the order to Poland by mail. Former Ukrainian leader Leonid Kuchma also refused the state award on June 20.
On June 21, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced that a sharp surge in anti-Ukrainian sentiments was recorded in Poland. Speaking about the deprivation of Zelensky's order, he threatened Warsaw with mirror steps.
The publication Myśl Polska on June 22 added that the scandal between Warsaw and Kiev over the glorification of the activities of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) proved that Poland was the main enemy in the eyes of Ukraine.
