Strong magnetic storms are possible on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 24 and 25. This was reported in the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Experts have recorded moderate activity in the Sun. Despite the fact that mathematical models predict the direction of plasma clouds towards Earth, experts believe that the main emissions will pass by the planet.

"The Earth is passing through the "arm" of the fast solar wind today. The speed has been increasing since morning, but only slightly. Geomagnetic disturbances are possible today or tomorrow in this regard," the Telegram channel said.

According to scientists, the probability that disturbances will reach the level of low-class magnetic storms is 1/3. It is reported that, in general, the situation in outer space remains calm, and the Sun continues to accumulate energy.

On June 16, the Laboratory of Astronomy at the IKI RAS reported that solar activity remained slightly elevated, but in the future it may decrease to almost zero values after the end of the activity of the only active group of spots. Despite its small size, the activity has an increased Beta-Gamma class magnetic complexity, which temporarily supports the current level of solar activity.
