The senators who supported the resolution on limiting military powers against Iran complicated the work of the American administration. This was announced on June 24 by US President Donald Trump.

"These senators have only made my job more difficult, but I will do it one way or another, because I always do it," he wrote on the Truth Social network.

According to the American leader, the vote on the resolution was untimely and made no practical sense. Trump also expressed the opinion that the actions of the lawmakers gave Tehran the wrong signal about Washington's position.

The US president said that Iran, in his assessment, is ready to make concessions and demonstrates greater respect for the United States. At the same time, the discussion of the limitations of his powers could be perceived by the Iranian side as evidence of disagreements within the American leadership.

On June 23, the US Senate passed a resolution calling on Trump to end the military operation against Iran. 50 senators voted for the adoption of the document. Against — 48. The resolution directs Trump to withdraw the US armed forces from combat operations against Iran unless the use of force is explicitly authorized by an official declaration of war or congressional authorization.
