Grushko reported on the growing risk of a military conflict between Russia and NATO

The risk of a military clash between Russia and NATO is increasing. This was announced on June 23 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko on the sidelines of the XII International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings".

"The risk of a military clash is increasing, they say they will be ready by 2030, so [they] in no case [want] to allow peace in Ukraine," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, the Baltic region has always been one of the most peaceful, all the problems in it were of a non-military nature. However, the diplomat stressed, for the sake of NATO's geopolitical aspirations, this area has now been artificially turned into an arena of confrontation, which creates new risks, including "military incidents."

However, Trump may demand that the Europeans and Zelensky compromise with Russia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an article for Politico Europe on June 19, noted that a clash between NATO and Russia could lead to catastrophic consequences, including an exchange of strikes using nuclear weapons. According to him, Europe's course towards confrontation with Russia and further expansion carries serious risks for global security.
