A man who shot a teenager with a flare pistol was detained in the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region. This was announced on June 21 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and the region.

The incident occurred on June 20 at about midnight at house No. 46 on Kirovskaya Street in Kirovets SNT. According to police, a 62-year-old unemployed local resident fired a signal pistol towards his opponents during a verbal altercation with a group of young people because of the noise. One of the shots hit a 17-year-old teenager in the face.

"A teenager with a non-penetrating cheek injury and a burn was taken to a medical facility, after which he was released for outpatient treatment," the department's Telegram channel said.

The police detained the suspect at the scene. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). The man was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier that day, a man attacked children at a children's camp in Tuva. Previously, a young man who was intoxicated entered the building of the institution, then injured the children, and also damaged the furniture of the camp.

The violator was detained by camp staff and handed over to the police. At the same time, the attacker could not remember why and how he entered the camp. As a result of the incident, two teenagers were injured.
