A large-scale anti-war rally was held in Berlin, the participants of which called for peace between Germany and Russia. Izvestia publishes footage of the demonstration on June 20.

The participants came to the rally with banners calling for a change in the anti-Russian policy of Germany. Among the slogans are "Our country wants peace," "Against aggressive policy towards Russia," "Get out of NATO right now," "We will never forget that Russia is our friend," and others.

Some participants brought bouquets of flowers wrapped with ribbons with appeals for peace. Also on the banners, you could see gratitude against the background of the famous photo of the capture of the Reichstag by the Red Army in 1945. Thus, the demonstrators demanded that official Berlin recognize the genocide of the USSR people during the Great Patriotic War and oppose the policy of revanchism.

Some politicians were noticed among those who attended the anti—war rally, including a foreign policy expert from the BSW party (formerly known as the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice). Sevim Dagdelen, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".

At the end of the action, the participants came to the monument to the Soviet soldier in Tiergarten Park and paid tribute to the memory of the Red Army soldiers.

On the eve of the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, in an interview with Izvestia, ridiculed the statement of the head of the German Air Force, Holger Neumann, about his readiness to fight Russia. Prior to that, Neumann assured that Germany was ready to fight Russia "even tonight" if Moscow attacked a NATO ally.

On June 15, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Neumann a neo-Nazi because of his words about NATO's plans to bomb Kaliningrad in the event of a conflict with Russia. The military man himself said on the same day that in the event of a conflict with Russia, Germany would defend every inch of NATO territory.
