It is necessary to strengthen control over the practice of "pseudo-burns" when labeling food. On June 20, Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma (LDPR), made such an initiative by sending an appeal to Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to him, manufacturers are increasingly using citizens' interest in healthy eating for marketing purposes, placing phrases like "healthy product" or "ideal composition" on packages.

"It seems advisable to consider the possibility of <...> the introduction of requirements for additional consumer information that such statements are marketing characteristics and do not automatically indicate the health benefits of the product," RIA Novosti quotes the content of the appeal.

The Vice Speaker also noted that it is necessary to analyze the prevalence of such practices in the Russian food market.

Nutritionist Irina Pisareva told on May 13 how to lose weight at home. According to her, a personalized approach to nutrition and health is still inaccessible to many Russians due to the high cost of tests, but you can start taking care of your health without expensive research. The specialist advised to give up semi-finished products and fast food, choose whole foods more often, monitor the balance of protein and fiber in the diet, eat more slowly and chew food thoroughly.
