The cosmonaut spoke about the work out of emergency situations by the ISS-75 crew
On Friday, June 19, Roscosmos cosmonaut Pavel Dubrov spoke about emergency situations being worked out by the main crew of ISS-75.
The Cosmonaut Training Center hosted comprehensive examination training (ECT) on the simulators of the Soyuz MS transport manned spacecraft and the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS), summarizing the preparation of the ISS-75 main and backup crews for space flight at the CPC.
"Yesterday, when working on our complex simulator, we dealt with several emergency situations related to both the Electron system and our automated control system. We worked out a false alarm of one of the smoke detectors, which simulated a fire. Then, according to the training scenario, everything was fine, but even in this case, the crew should act as if the situation could develop in the most unfavorable directions. Therefore, we need to be prepared for everything," Dubrov stressed.
He noted that at the end of the day, the crew worked out the depressurization of one of the modules and performed all actions related to ensuring the safety of the crew, first of all, and the equipment at the station that could be saved in this situation. The cosmonaut added that the contribution of each of his representatives is important in the work of the crew.
"The task of the commander is to make this work the most effective, organize, direct and in some critical situations ensure the fastest, clearest response to what is happening on board," Dubrov added.
The day before, the main and backup crews of the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft began comprehensive exam training before their flight to the ISS on July 14. Both crews will take turns training on the simulators of the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft and the Russian segment of the ISS. The backup team started the exam on June 18, and the main team will be tested the next day, on June 19.
