Kaliningrad topped the ranking of the most popular domestic travel destinations in July, while Istanbul became the leader among foreign routes. The analysts of the Kupibilet service came to such conclusions after studying the data on the tickets sold. Izvestia got acquainted with the results of the study on June 23.

Kaliningrad turned out to be an absolute favorite among Russian destinations. It accounted for more than twice as many bookings as the runner-up Sochi. The average cost of a flight to Kaliningrad was 12.96 thousand rubles one way.

Sochi is on the second line, where an average ticket cost travelers 22.23 thousand rubles. Makhachkala rounded out the top three with an average flight cost of 13.11 thousand rubles.

Vladivostok and Mineralnye Vody are also among the most sought-after destinations. At the same time, Vladivostok became the most expensive Russian city in the top 5: the average price of an air ticket reached 28.15 thousand rubles one way. A flight to Mineralnye Vody cost an average of 17.19 thousand rubles.

Turkey has retained its leading position in international areas. Istanbul became the most popular foreign route in July, with demand more than twice as high as Antalya, which took second place. The average cost of a ticket to Istanbul was 22.13 thousand rubles, while a flight to Antalya cost an average of 27.6 thousand rubles.

Yerevan took the third place in the rating with an average ticket price of 19.1 thousand rubles. The top five most sought-after foreign destinations also include Denpasar in Bali and Tbilisi.

At the same time, Bali turned out to be the most expensive destination in the rating: the average cost of a one-way flight reached 75.3 thousand rubles. A ticket to the capital of Georgia cost an average of 30.65 thousand rubles.

"July traditionally remains the most active month of the summer tourist season. Within the country, travelers often choose sea destinations and cities with a mild climate, while routes with direct flights and a developed tourist infrastructure are the leaders among foreign trips. At the same time, this year we see an increase in interest not only in classic summer destinations like Sochi and Antalya, but also in longer—range routes, such as Bali and Vladivostok. Russians are increasingly planning vacations in advance and are ready to fly further for new experiences," the Kupibilet press service noted.

As the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported on February 2, the number of tourists visiting Thailand increased by 6.7% in January 2026 and amounted to 272 thousand 959. The press service clarified that China is in first place in the top 5 key entry markets of Thailand in January, Malaysia is in second place, India is in fourth, and South Korea closes the top five.
