On Russia Day, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, posted an artificial intelligence-generated video on his Telegram channel in which he destroys photos of European politicians in a shredder.

"No enemy will interfere with the development and prosperity of our Motherland. Happy Russia Day!" — Medvedev signed the video.

The published footage shows how photos of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen get into the shredder.

At the end of the video, after the portraits of European politicians are cut up, the Russian national anthem sounds.

Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the German Union for Social Justice and Economic Reasonableness party, accused Germany and the Baltic states of "madness," saying other European countries were not ready to finance "senseless military actions" in Ukraine.

On June 10, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Europe's security system had been completely destroyed by the hands of Western politicians. He called for preventing the entire continent, which used to be called the "Common Eurasian Home," from becoming an arena of geopolitical confrontation.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Izvestia on May 27 that the moment would come in the future to discuss Europe's security architecture and it would be necessary to talk about it with the Europeans.
