The United States must provide official guarantees that no new strikes will be carried out against Iran before insisting on international inspectors' access to the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities. This was announced on June 11 by Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna.

"The United States can seek a resolution to make the situation more stable only after providing guarantees about the cessation of strikes," he said in an interview with Press TV, the recording of which was posted on the Telegram channel.

The diplomat stressed that in modern realities, sending international personnel to the designated area poses serious risks to their safety.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that Moscow was calling for restraint from Washington and Tehran after they began exchanging fire again. One of the last strikes was carried out on the night of June 10-11. The strikes hit the islands of Qeshm and Hengam from the American side and 18 military targets at US bases from the Iranian side.

On the same day, CNN reported that negotiations between the United States and Iran on a peaceful settlement of the conflict were continuing, despite what was happening between them.
