Hockey player Egor Yadykin died while preparing for a hunt in Salavat

Yegor Yadykin, a forward of the Norilsk hockey club, died while preparing for a hunt in Salavat. This was announced on June 11 by a source of Izvestia.

According to preliminary data, the 21-year-old athlete was with his 68-year-old grandfather, who showed him how to clean and load a gun. An accidental shot occurred during the preparation of the weapon. The bullet hit the hockey player in the head, he died on the spot.

The source added that a few hours after the tragedy, Yadykin's grandfather sent a voice message to his relatives. Later, the pensioner was found dead in the garage, he committed suicide.

The death of Yegor Yadykin at the age of 21 became known on June 10. The hockey club noted that the news of the athlete's sudden death came as a shock to everyone. In the 2025/26 season, the forward had 46 matches in the regular season of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL), in which he scored two goals and provided two assists.
