Old-age insurance pensions will be awarded without personal application

In Russia, old-age insurance pensions will be awarded proactively, without a personal request from a citizen. This was announced on June 10 by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

"The appointment of an old—age insurance pension, including an early one for a number of reasons, will be carried out proactively — that is, without a citizen's request," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, this opportunity will appear due to the fact that the Social Fund has all the necessary information to assign payments. We are talking, in particular, about data on work experience, the number of pension coefficients, the number of children and other information.

Kotyakov noted that citizens will no longer need to submit an application and provide documents for the appointment of an old-age pension.

Igor Balynin, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told on June 5 who has the right to receive two pensions at once. He noted that in order to receive a second pension, it is necessary to have at least 15 years of insurance experience, 30 pension coefficients and reach retirement age. In 2026, men born in 1962 and women born in 1967 will be eligible for such a payment, subject to all conditions.
