The United Kingdom, France and Germany intend to jointly produce long-range weapons and air defense systems for Ukraine. The relevant information follows from a joint statement following the talks of the leaders of the countries in London, published on June 7.

"The leaders stressed the urgent need to increase the production of interceptor missiles and jointly develop missile defense systems and long-range weapons," the document says.

The parties also discussed the expansion of long-term industrial cooperation with Kiev to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities, stressing that the region should play an important role in any conflict resolution.

Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party, said on June 7 that the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to London indicates Europe's intention to continue supplying weapons to Kiev. At the same time, Europe does not want to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the crisis by continuing to supply and manufacture drones for Ukraine, he added.
