Footage of the detention of the OPS online casino financier has been published

The structure of the organized criminal community (OPS), which was engaged in financing online casinos, included four blocks, including for conspiracy. Footage of the detention of the defendants was published on June 8 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

According to the agency, the OPS activities were divided into financial, operational and accounting units, as well as the security service. The former was responsible for the illegal turnover of payment funds, coordinated the acquisition of dropper legal entities, bank details and SIM cards for operations.

The operational unit was responsible for the overall management of the structure, interacted with representatives of online casinos and supervised the operation of the payment infrastructure. The accounting department kept records of cryptocurrency assets, distributed income among the participants in the scheme, and also provided payments to employees and coverage of current expenses.

In addition, the structure had its own security service. Her tasks included measures of secrecy and protection of community members from disclosure.

In total, 15 online casinos were OPS' business partners. During the detention, the security forces found a lot of mobile phones, bundles of money, and expensive cars at the places of residence of the defendants.

Inquiries have been made: casinos will be required to check the players' legal capacity

Betting with minors and debtors will also be legally prohibited.

Earlier that day, the FSB announced that, together with the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, it had suppressed the activities of an organized criminal community that was financing online casinos. As part of the operation, 24 people were detained, and eight more defendants were put on the wanted list.

Members of the criminal community provided illegal betting in the interests of a number of online casinos, including Pin-Up, FreshCasino, Leon, MelBet, MostBet, PlayFortuna, Punch, RioBet, Shangrilla, and WhyCasino, "lwin", "Azino", "WinWin" and "888Casino", with the subsequent transfer of funds to these institutions.
