A boat collided with a motor ship on the Kama River in Udmurtia
A motor boat collided with a self-propelled cargo ship on the Kama River in the Karakulinsky district of Udmurtia, resulting in the death of a man. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"On June 7, a motor boat and a self-propelled cargo ship collided on the Kama River in the Karakulinsky district. As a result of the incident, a 38-year—old man died," the agency's page on the VKontakte social network says.
According to preliminary information, both vessels were in the water area at night for fishing. The skipper of the motorboat did not notice the motor ship going down the river, which led to a left side impact on the bow of the cargo ship.
On May 31, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan reported that one person was killed in the republic as a result of a collision between a boat and a concrete pier. It was clarified that there were five people on board — a man who was steering the boat, and four women. After hitting an obstacle, one woman died, and four other people were injured.
